Early bird registration for NZ Master Games 2025!
We are thrilled to announce that floorball is officially back on the agenda for the NZ Master Games 2025!
This dynamic, fast-paced sport will be featured alongside over 50 other sports in the Masters, promising plenty of action, competition, and community spirit.
The NZ Master Games is one of New Zealand’s most iconic multi-sport events, bringing together senior athletes from all over the country to compete, have fun, and showcase their love for sport. Whether you’re an experienced floorball player or someone curious to try the game, the 2025 Masters is the perfect opportunity to get involved!
What is Floorball?
For those unfamiliar, floorball is a high-energy indoor sport that combines elements of ice hockey and soccer. Played with lightweight sticks and a plastic ball, it's fast-paced, easy to learn, and a great workout. No skates needed—just quick reflexes and teamwork! Floorball is played across the world, and its popularity has been steadily growing worldwide in recent years.

Key Details:
Dates: Friday 7 – Saturday 8 February 2025
Location: Springvale Stadium, Whanganui
Age Minimum: 30+ as at first day of competition
Age groups: 30 – 44, and 45+
Events: Mixed Social and Mixed Competitive
Additional information:
Teams are mixed consisting of 4 – 7 players.
No equipment required, sticks and goalie gear will be provided for participants who do not already have it.
There will be a special prize for the best team costume.
Floorball at Past Master Games
In previous NZ Master Games, floorball drew in a lively crowd of players and spectators alike. With its fast-paced nature and friendly atmosphere, it became one of the standout sports of the Games, enjoyed by both participants and onlookers.
Teams ranged from experienced veterans to enthusiastic beginners, all coming together for a memorable competition. The 2025 edition promises to build on that success, offering an even bigger and better floorball experience.
